Live insects have been transformed into what are essentially tiny drones. There are also mechanical drones with the characteristics and bodies of birds and bats. The sizes makes them ideal for stealth/surveillance and maneuverability. This might be considered a frightening development, considering what plans for "Future Warfare" were presented to NASA by Langley researcher, Dennis Bushnell (www.fedgeno.com/documents/future-strategic-issues-and-warfare.pdf).
